Ofra x Nikkie Tutorials Collab | First Impression /Review
Hi loves, today I will be discussing a product that is on trend at the moment and has a second release coming TOMORROW (26th April)! The Ofra Cosmetics x Nikkie Tutorials collaboration. Originally, the collaboration was sold as a set, but when it comes back in stock it will be restocked they will be available as single items. I have to say, I have always loved Nikkie Tutorials and her all the youtube videos since I discovered her over a year and a half ago. She seems like such a sweet, warm soul and I get such a thrill watching all her tutorials as she is so daring with her makeup looks.
I should add that this is my first ever Ofra cosmetics purchase so this is also a review of their products in general as well as the collaboration with Nikkie.
On to the collab, this is what the the box set of all the items looks like. The set comes with 1 matte liquid lipstick, 2 metallic liquid lipsticks and a highlighter trio. I have to say, I love the detailing on the packaging (as you may have noticed, I’m a sucker for packaging!) I absolutely adore the glittery feel, as that is sooo Nikkie! The touches of foiled rose gold writing and the interior packaging gives it that high end look, which any girl would love.
First off, the matte liquid lipstick in “Nude Potion”. This is described as a ‘light neutral nude pink’ and I definitely agree. As seen in the swatch it is not too light and I feel that it can work well on most skin tones (I am NC20 and think it looks gorgeous!). The swatch shown above was one swipe of the wand, and it is very pigmented! I have never tried Ofra products so I am currently testing wear time and have had it swatched on my arm for about 3-4 hours and it has not budged a bit and is definitely transfer proof. I’m very impressed with the quality of the product so far and will update if this changes.
Next, we have the metallic liquid lipstick in “Coven”, described as a neutral metallic brown. Now, I have never tried a metallic formula yet (I know, I’m so behind on the trend) but this has me feeling some type of way! I did a makeup look today to test out the wearability of the highlights and this liquid lipstick, and oh my! I do not want to wash this off my lips. Like, it has the most beautiful brown undertone which I think can suit anyone, which is an amazing plus and it is not too ‘in your face’ where some may feel they cannot wear it. It feels so soft and smooth on the lips, and it almost feels like it has gave my lips added moisture, which is unbelievable for a liquid lipstick. If the mattes are like this too, I think I may have found the best liquid lipstick formula I’ve ever tried! The swatch on my arm has also not budged and seems for the most part to be transfer proof.
The final liquid lipstick is the shade “Spell”, this is a neon coral pink ‘with a slight sheen and buildable formula.’ The swatch show above was one swipe also, so not sure I would say this is sheer. The colour of this kind of threw me off at first, as I don’t tend to go for these kinds of colours. Though, I have to say it is growing on me. I do like the metallic-ness to it and I have wore an ABH coral shade at a shoot which looked devine, so I think it may work well with certain looks and will be testing it out later this week. Again, it has not budged from my arm and seems transfer proof. I do however have to say this would not be shade I reach for very often, but it is nice to have a shade which can give inspiration for looks I would not usually attempt.
The last product I will be looking at is the highlighter trio. I have heard soooo many amazing things about Ofra highlighters and am so happy to finally be able to test it out and see the wearability of them. This trio is described by Ofra as a ‘three-in- one luminous highlighter complete with frosty white, neutral shimmer and sun-kissed copper shades. Mix all three together for a “lit from within” healthy glow’.
I was very excited to get this as I have always wanted a white highlight as my skin is relatively fair and always see Nikkie using such beautiful white shades which look gorgeous! So I knew immediately that would be the shade I use as a highlight today. I used the neutral shimmer shade as an inner corner and brow bone highlight and love it. I am still to experiment with the third shade, as I felt it would overthrow the black-brown smokey eye I had done.
As the finger swatches show, these are very intense and that was ONE swipe of each shade girls!! I was blown away! They are VERY buttery soft and pigmentation packs a punch. The arm swatches do not do this trio any justice and I felt it would only be fair to show it with one swipe each. Though, I have to point out that on my cheekbones and nose, there is definitely NOTHING lacking from the highlight. I love that they are quite blendable and can be used light handed to acheive a lighter glow, but you do NOT need to use a lot to have a popping cheekbone. I must admit, I absolutely love a blinding glow and this product did it for me effortlessly. I actually had to tone it down a little and did not pick up much product!!!
As you can see, the Ofra x Nikkie Tutorials collaboration was a complete success and I could not be happier for Nikkie. She has produced some amazing products and I cannot wait to play with them again and hopefully see further collaborations from her in the future! Overall, I am 100% pleased with the quality of the products!
If you have tried the collab or any Ofra products, please feel free to let me know your thoughts on them by commenting down below. Also, if you have an questions or quiries I am more than happy to answer anything. Hope to see you again on my next post.
